End of Times: Recognizing the Signs

First Prophecy

by Roy Burger on 07/17/21

Hi, my name is Roy Burger, and we are presenting a complete and thorough study on the book of Revelation. I attended to theology college at Grand Canyon University and graduated with my master’s degree in Christian Leadership in 2018. I wrote a book with my wife “The End of Time” and I feel to teach what I wrote about the prophecy in Revelation. I started to study the prophecy back in 2005 until now, I also traveled back then with my wife to the Vatican to enrich the knowledge of the prophecy, as many metaphors in Revelation refer to the universal church as we’ll explain that in our presentation.  Now my wife will introduce herself.

Hello, my name is Julia Burger, originally, I am from Venice Italy, born and raised In Italy, and that where my foreign accent is from. I am saying this right the way because when people try to guess where my foreign accent is from, they think I am from Armenia, or Russia, Germany, and even from Brazil. No, no, I am full blood Italian.

People think my husband is Italian, but he is American with some German in it, from where the Burger name comes, then some Filipino, Spanish from Spain and American Cherokee.  I moved to America in 1992, and precisely in Los Angeles California, where I met my husband Roy and got married in 1996. We have 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl, all in their early twenties. I also graduated with a master’s degree in Christian Ministry and wrote with my husband the book The End of Time, and we like to share with you what we found out studying this amazing prophecy.

We are presenting a complete and through study of the book of Revelation and the end time prophecy, covering the entire book from Ch. 1 to Ch. 22. Here are other views of the prophecy compared with the book of Revelation. Pretribulation is the most popular doctrine known. Pretribulation takes its interpretation from the scripture Daniel 9:27.

We will pick up these interpretations, pretribulation and other views of the end time, next time throughout our further presentations. So, going back to what Roy was saying, that the prophecy goes all the way to Ch. 22 for us believers too, the prophecy of the end time is therefore a long prophecy, not short like suggested by pretribulation, for example, because everything is not all revealed in the book of Revelation, but in the OT and throughout the NT. Then, once we find scriptures related to the end time in the OT and in the NT, they must correlate with the accounts in Revelation as God purposed. Some views of the end time also go by some passages of the O and NT, but then these passages do not correlate with the events in Revelation, turning the interpretation of the end time not biblical but personal.

So, because of the many scriptures involved in understanding the prophecy, this presentation may be complex but still easy to follow as we will put up on the screen the scriptures that we are studying, so the viewer can take time to read them. The study of the prophecy requires time and patience as the Holy Spirit teaches us how to study scriptures. For those who are not familiar with the OT, this may be an opportunity to follow the prophecy from the OT to Revelation, learning in this way the OT to defend the prophecy from false interpretations, or as we call them “short interpretations,” or a “quick fix” considering the complexity in keeping in mind the OT, the New, and Revelation in studying the prophecy, as God revealed it.

The first aspect of our presentation is the birth of Christ as his 1st coming here on earth. There could not have been a prophecy of the end of time before Christ, as He will come again in His 2nd coming. So, the birth of Jesus is the keystone to study the end time prophecy as the following scripture drew our attention, this scripture is found in Matthew 1:17.

Matt 1:17 KJ “So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations, and from David to the deportation to Babylon fourteen generations, and from the deportation to Babylon to the Christ fourteen generations.”

Why are we bringing up Matthew with the end of time prophecy? Because the passage talks about various generations from Abraham to David to Babylon, and from Babylon to Christ. Matthew mentioned about a timeline before the Jews arrived at the time of Jesus, from where after His ascension started the timeline of the end time prophecy. Jesus had to depart from this world before even considering the end time. So, our study will research all the generations that took to Christ, including 4 prophecies. We will show to you in future videos that, following the timeline of the generations to Christ, will give us the exact time when Jesus was born. We can be sure that in this way by following scriptures one by one, we will be able to interpret the prophecy of the end time biblically. Here are the 4 prophecies before that one of the end time:

Ø  400-year prophecy In Genesis given to Abraham of the Jews being enslaved in Egypt

Ø  70-year prophecy in Jeremiah of the Jews being in captivity under Babylon

Ø  490-year prophecy in Daniel of the coming Messiah and the New Covenant

Ø  Timeline in Hosea

We are not going to cover all these 4 prophecies today, but in future presentations we will show to you how the passage in Matt. 1:17 will validate the prophecies in question.

Many of the popular studies of the end time do not consider the timeline of the generations that came before the birth of Christ. So, if we do not study the timeline that preceded the 1st coming of Jesus, then it is possible to misinterpret the prophecy causing a void between the 1st coming and the 2nd coming of Jesus, or as symbolically causing a bumpy road in interpreting the prophecy. Also, we cannot just pick out a scripture and saying that the end time will happen based on one scripture only, because we need to study the order of the events that took to Christ and the events that came after Christ’ ascension. In this way we will find out that there is more than one scripture that refers to the end of time, as there are many events that will happen before the end. So, from where we start the counting of the generations that preceded the advent of Christ? We start from Genesis 15 throughout Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel, Zechariah, Malachi, Matthew covering 4 prophecies before studying the prophecy of the end time. Of course, we are not going to cover all these books in one time but in future presentations.

The 4 prophecies that we are going to study will give us the timeline necessary to know when the end time prophecy started. However, as there is a lot to learn from the OT to Revelation, we want to pay attention for now to the 1st prophecy starting from Gen 15. This prophecy of the 400 years was given to Abraham as God told him in a dream about how Israel will become a nation and of Israel being in bondage.

Let us go to read about Abraham’s dream, but the prophecy has not started yet as we will learn when the prophecy started later in other scriptures. This is just God’s revelation to Abraham.

Gen 15:13-16 (MKJV) And He said to Abram, You must surely know that your seed shall be a stranger in a land not theirs, and shall serve them. And they shall afflict them four hundred years. And also I will judge that nation whom they shall serve. And afterward they shall come out with great substance. And you shall go to your fathers in peace. You shall be buried in a good old age. But in the fourth generation they shall come here again, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

The passage says that Abraham’s seed will be in a strange land, as we know from scriptures that it was Egypt. The Jews will be afflicted for 400 years and afterwards they will come out with great substance.  What that means great substance? When Jacob, who God changed the name to Israel, moved into Egypt with the aid of Joseph, who was the prince of Egypt at that time, the family consisted of 70 people only. When Moses delivered the Jews from Egypt, there were 3-5 million people, so Israel came out in great substance by the hand of God.

God assured Abraham that he will live a full life; then God used the conjunction “but” in the following sentence, but in the fourth generation they shall come here again, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.” meaning a condition needed to be met. The condition was the iniquity of the Amorites that needed to be full, then the 4th generation of the Israelites shall return to the promise land. We need to learn this part of the Jewish history because this 1st prophecy as well as the other 3 prophecies shown in a slide earlier are going to flow into the prophecy of the coming Messiah, and after His ascension into the prophecy of Jesus’ 2nd coming.

All the life events of the generations that we are studying are part, in terms of years, of all the time counted to arrive to the time of Jesus. Then we will see in future videos that all the events of the life of Jesus while He was on earth will be counted as well to arrive to the time of His ascension from this world, from where the end time prophecy will start. So, every little detail of the timelines before and after Christ count to interpret prophecies as scriptures reveal it to us.

Before moving forward with the next scriptures, we like to compare Gen 15:13-16 with Acts 7:6-7, as scriptures correlate with each other.

Acts 7:6-7 (KJ) And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years. And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

Let us go to read now where the 400-year prophecy started. We are going to Exodus from Ch. 1 Let us go to Exodus 1:6-13:

Exodus 1:6-9 (KJV) And Joseph died, and all his brethren, and all that generation. And the children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and waxed exceeding mighty; and the land was filled with them. Now there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph. And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:

Exodus 1:10-13 (KJV) “Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land. Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses. But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel. And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:

In the scripture exodus 1:13 started the 400-year prophecy of Israel being afflicted, and Exodus chapter one ended several generations later with a command from Pharaoh. Exo 1:22

Exodus 1:22 (KJV)And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

The Israelites were multiplying so rapidly that the Pharoah made this decree against Israel, to slow down the growth of the Israelites for the fear that otherwise the Jews would overtake the Egyptians. Chapter one ended with the Pharaoh commanding that every newborn male Israelite was to be thrown into the river while saving newborn females.

Let us go now to Exodus chapter 2 where it started off with the birth of Moses, which started the 1st gen of the 4. Let us find out how many years are a generation.

Num 32:13 (KJ): “And the LORD'S anger was kindled against Israel, and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation, that had done evil in the sight of the LORD, was consumed.”

We see here that a generation is 40 years. God said until all that generation that He made them wander in the desert for 40 years, that whole generation should perish or be consumed.

Now, to find out when a generation started in the life of a Jew, we need to go to Exo 30:14.

Let us go to Exo 30:14.

Exo 30:14 (MKJ)  Everyone that passes among those who are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall give an offering to Jehovah.

The scripture here says that every male that is 20 years and older shall give an offering to the Lord. Let us go to Leviticus to learn when a generation starts and when it ends. Now we are going to read that a gen is from 20 years of age to 60 years of age.

Lev 27:1-3 (MKJ) And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, When a man shall make a special vow, the persons shall be for Jehovah by your evaluation. And your judgment shall be of the male from twenty years old even to sixty years old, even your judgment shall be fifty shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

In this scripture God is speaking to Moses telling him when men are allowed to make a vow, meaning a time when they are becoming responsible adults, between 20 years old to 60 years old, which is a period of 40 years. Let us validate what we just said with another scripture in Numbers.14:29-30.

Num 14:29-30 (MKJ) Your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness, and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, who have murmured against Me. not one shall come into the land where I swore that I would make you dwell, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.

We see here God is punishing Israel for murmuring, which means that the people who murmured against God did not enter the promise land because they were constantly complaining against God. So, that generation was consumed dying in the desert after 40 years. God stated that men 20 years old and upward will not enter the promise land. We see here God is sparing Caleb and Joshua, we know that Joshua was being trained by Moses to fill in as Moses eventually would have died. Let us see why God is sparing Caleb and learn why God has passed this judgement on that generation and consumed them. Let us go to Numbers.

Num 14:22-24 (MKJ) Because all those men who have seen My glory and My miracles which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted Me now these ten times, and have not listened to My voice, surely they shall not see the land which I swore to their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked Me see it. But My servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and has followed Me fully, I will bring him into the land into which he went. And his seed shall possess it.

Here in Numbers, God was speaking to Israel, and he stated that these men have seen God’s glory and God’s miracles in Egypt and have tempted God ten times, and they still did not listen to God. God is telling them that these men will not enter the promise land. Numbers 14:29 state that males who are 20 years and older cannot enter the promise land because of their rebellion and disobedience against God. So, this generation that died in the desert was the 3rd generation of the 4, with the 4th one going into the promise land. Caleb fell into this generation, but God said that Caleb had another spirit different from all the rest of the generation, a righteous spirit, so Caleb even though he belonged to that generation of men who murmured against God, because he had a righteous spirit like Moses and Joshua, he will enter the promise land.

In the Jewish custom Israelites will use a generation often referred to when a male reaches 20 years old and grow to 60 years old within one generation. The word generation comes from the Hebrew word h1755 ‘dowr’ which is pronounced dore. The word dowr translates as length of time. So, a generation is a period which according to Numbers is 40 years. So, if 1 generation is 40 years, then 3 generations are 120 years. God said the 4th generation will enter the promise land. So, 3 generations needed to pass for the sins of the Amorites to become full, which are 120 years. Exodus Ch. 2 started off with the birth of Moses, let us explore how Moses’s life coincided with the three generations. Let us go to (Acts 7:23-24).

Acts 7:23 -24 “When he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the children of Israel. And seeing one of them being wronged, he defended the oppressed man and avenged him by striking down the Egyptian.

Moses lived in Egypt for 40 years, after he killed the Egyptian and fled for his life to the desert. Let us go to (Acts 7:30).

Acts 7:30  “Now when forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush.

We read here that Moses lived for 40 years being a shepherd in the desert. As 40 years passed at the burning bush, God commended Moses to go back to Egypt to deliver his people. At this point Moses was 80 years old when he received the commend from God (40 years he lived in Egypt until he killed an Egyptian and fled, and then he lived other 40 years in the desert). We can say that before returning to Egypt as God called him, another generation ended at the burning bush, which made the 2nd gen of the 4, with the 4th entering the promise land.

We go now to Deuteronomy 34:7 and we learn that Moses led Israel out of Egypt which was the 3rd gen of the 4.

Deut. 34:7  Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eye was undimmed, and his vigor unabated.

We see here Moses’ life coincided with 3 generations that were before the 4th one, so we will use Moses’ life to follow the three generations. Let us do a summary of what we just covered.

Ø  God gave Abraham 440-years prophecy, counting the 40 years of Moses in the desert.

Ø  God told Abraham that the 4th generation will enter the promise land.

Ø  One generation equals forty years (1 gen=40 years).

Ø  400 years are 10 generations.

With Exo. 1:22 ended the 320 years or 8 generations of the Jews. 400 years are not just 4 generations because we already studied that 1 generation is 40 years, so 400/40=10. There are 8 gens before Moses was born in the timeline of these 10 generations. These10 generations started at the time a new Pharoah was risen, and this Pharaoh did not know Joseph because Joseph died. Remember that at the time Joseph was the prince of Egypt, the Jews were doing fine, and they were prospering. After the death of Joseph, this new Pharoah came up with a decree of putting the Jews in bondage.

We see in the end of ch. 1 of Exo., that Pharoah ordered a decree ending 8 generations of Jews in slavery covering 320 years before Moses was born and he carried out the prophecy of 440 years.

Let us do a summary of what we just covered. Exodus ended chapter 1 with 8 generations. Moses was born in the 9th generation which started the 1st generation of the 4, remembering the scripture that said, “but the 4th generation will enter the promise land.” Moses delivered Israel out of Egypt fulfilling the 400-year prophecy in the 2nd generation of the 4.

Moses led the 3rd generation in the desert and this generation died in the desert after 40 years in the wilderness, fulfilling 440-year in the 3rd generation of the four. Moses spent 40 years leading the 3rd generation that died in the desert. Then Moses died and Joshua took over and led the 4th generation with Caleb into the promise land, fulfilling the part of the prophecy given to Abraham, that the 4th generation will enter the promise land.

Resuming what we covered today.

We see 440-year prophecy fitting into scriptures having the timeline fulfilled to the letter.

In conclusion, this is the timeline of the prophecy of the promised land and the nation from where Jesus will be coming on earth and from where the end time prophecy started after His ascension. Today we covered the 1st segment of our study: the prophecy of Abraham of 440 years as listed in one of our slides.

Next time we will be covering the 2nd prophecy in our schedule: Jeremiah 70-year prophecy. We are doing this to show how prophecies and their interpretation must fit into scriptures as God intended and revealed them to the prophets. In this way we are not going to miss any important year of the timeline that took the Jews all the way to Christ.

If you have questions about this part of the presentation, you can reach us at our website www.theburgerministry.com and submit your questions on our blog. Thank you for watching. God blesses!

The Beginning of Sorrows

by Roy Burger on 03/23/20

We are seeing the beginning of sorrows. As mention in Mark.

Mar 13:8 “For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places. There will be famines and troubles. These things are the beginning of birth pains.”

Luke goes a little further and mentions great signs in heaven.

Luk 21:10-11  Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  There will be great earthquakes, famines, and plagues in various places. There will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

Matthew basically repeats what Mark says.

Mat 24:7-8  For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows

I am showing the beast in Revelation chapter four because each beast speaks a seal in Revelation chapter six in the first four seals.

Rev 4:7  And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

The first beast is a lion which represent king and he speaks the first seal.

Rev 6:1  And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see.  And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

After Columbus discover America, the kings of England, Spain, and France sent out armies to conquer the new world.

The Calf which represent strength power and youth speaks the second seal.

Rev 6:2 “And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see.  And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

Zechariah gives a hint what red horse represents.

Zec 1:8 “I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him were there red horses, speckled, and white.”

Zec 1:11 “And they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, we have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.”

Zec 1:15-16 And I am very sore displeased with the heathen that are at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.  Therefore, thus saith the LORD; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the LORD of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.”

God is speaking of Babylonians, and now the Meads and Persians who have conquered the known world. They (young strong countries) ride a red horse.  We have WW I and WW II, where peace was taken from the world, and the Anti-Christ will soon be the third to conquer the world.

The third beast is man and man spoke the third seal.

Rev 6:5-8 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Because of man’s greed and tendency to panic and hoard, the economies will collapse.  A loaf of bread (Toilet paper) will be a day’s worth of wages.  With the Corona Virus, we see hoarding such as toilet paper, rice, beans, and other non-perishable items.  Jesus tells us in Matthew 16:25 “For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. Whenever we hoard things, we are trying to preserve this life and we will lose our life, we need to be able to lose our life, help those who don’t have these non-perishable items and we will find our eternal life.

The fourth beast is a flying eagle.  In the White House there is an emblem of the eagle with thirteen olive branches in one claw and thirteen arrows in the other claw.  The eagle is flying to hold these. The word pale comes from the Greek word cloros which is derived from the Greek work Chloe – A Christian woman in Corinth.

And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.  And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.”

So we have flying eagle, pale horse or Christian woman (bride of Christ).  United States is a Christian nation and as Israel in the Old Testament, Isaiah states Israel heart was no longer in it, the sacrifice, holy days became a tradition, they were worshiping other idles and not following God.  By doing this Israel made a covenant with death and hell.  United States has legalized gay marriages, trying to take the ten commandments out of our court houses. Taken prayer out of schools and many companies do not allow Christianity to be spoken of at work. Legalize marijuana in many of the states. United States has made a Covenant with death and hell as Israel did during the time of Isaiah.  United States has power over the fourth of the earth, we are considered the most power country in the world. We killed Ben Laden and recently a general of Syria.  Beast represents countries. We see famine in third world countries where we set up warehouse and pay under wage for employees there.  We also at been at war as example Afghanistan.   United States has allies such as England, and majority of the countries listed in the United Nations. Here is found in Isaiah where it states Israel has made a covenant with death and hell.

Isa 28:13-15 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people which is in Jerusalem. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

United States as Israel has made a covenant with death and hell.

Rev 6:9-11 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held: And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow servants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Here are Christians who have died and with the Lord asking when God is going to take judgement.  He says a little while longer until the great tribulation is over.

Rev 6:12-17 “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;  And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

Here is stated as in Isaiah

Isaiah 34:4-17 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree.

It is describing the wrath of God coming down and Isaiah chapter 34 ends with Isa 34: 16  Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them as Revelation Chapter 6 ends with who shall be able to stand? Which is answered in Rev chapter 7, the 144,000 and Rev 7:9  After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands. Who are these Rev 7:13-14 “And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?  And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Here we have the 144,000 who protect Israel when Anti-Christ has power over the saints for forty-two months.  The only place the Anti-Christ cannot conquer is Jerusalem in Israel because if he could, then there would be no battle of Armageddon.  He is not allowed to overcome until Jesus lands in the mount of Olives. (Zechariah 14:1-5)

We are in the end of times, our economy will collapse according to Scripture and as Josiah a man of God torn down the high places where Israel worshipped other Gods, he could not change the outcome of what was going to happen to Israel because Israel made a covenant with death and hell.  Israel still was conquered by Babylon and the Spirit of God left Israel.

For us, because United States has made a covenant with death and hell, we cannot was predicted to come ahead in Revelation but the good news is God is going to pour out his spirit among all flesh, granted we already have the Holy Ghost but he is going to empower his two witness(two churches, Jews and gentiles) where we breath fire, cause plagues,

Rev 11:6-7  These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.  And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them

The next step God is going to pour out his spirit among all flesh and Joel also speaks of wonders in heaven.

Rev 8:4-5  And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices, and thundering, and lightnings, and an earthquake.  Luke 3:16  John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:  The Greek word pur 4442 used here in Revelation 8:4-5 is also the same word used in Luke 3:16.  The Fire here in Revelation chapter 8 represents the pouring out his spirit.

Joel 2:28-31  And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit. And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

We are in the beginning of sorrows, and if you precede to read rest of Chapter eight, these events are going to happen before the Anti-Christ comes on the scene.  We need to give our testimonies and be like Elijah and Elisha when Israel made a Covenant with death and hell, they performed more miracles and God worked through them since Moses and the ten plagues.  I am sending this to you because Corona virus is just the beginning of our sorrows but we can embrace this times as Elijah and Elisha did by putting God first in our lives and studying the book of Revelation so we know what is coming next.

Renew a new heart within me

by Roy Burger on 02/10/20

King David was found out by the Prophet Nathan regarding his adultery with Bath-sheba.

Psalms 51:1-13 “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.  Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.   Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.  Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom.  Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.  Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right Spirit within me.  Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.  Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free Spirit.   Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.   Even though King David wrote this, I think this applies to all of us.

Tithe

by Roy Burger on 01/31/16

Tithing is a common practice that is taught in church but is more tradition than scriptural as you will see. Tithing is only is found in the Old Testament so with that, let us go to Leviticus 15: 19 "And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even. 20 And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean. 21 And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. 22 And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even."   If you are married do you separate yourselves form your wife when she is having her time of month. Do you touch her, her clothing, where she sat because you have become unclean and have a need to separate yourself?  We do not do any of this stuff because it was for those under the Old Covenant(Testament). So how do we pick and choose what applies to us and what does not?

Exodus 20: verses 7-17 are the Ten Commandments. We all know of the Ten Commandments but how many of us keep Saturday holy.  Saturday is the Sabbath because it is the seventh day of the week. How many of us stone people because they did not honor the Sabbath.   We do not do this because we are under the New Covenant.  Let us go to Roman 13: 8 "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. 9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."    Here we have the Ten Commandments again but no mention of keeping the Sabbath holy.  In fact it say if any other commandment be added it is Love thy neighbor as thyself.  Let us go to Colossians 2: 16 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:"  Paul tells us here that let no man judge you on what day to keep as Sabbath.  We are under the New Covenant which is found in the New Testament.  All of our doctrines, and Christians rules we abide by are found in the New Covenant.  Tithing is not found in the New Covenant but only in the Old Covenant.

Let us go to John 14:6 Jesus tells us that he is the way, the truth and the life and no man can go to the father but by Jesus, that means, we can pray at home through him, we can ask for a healing, we thank Jesus for what he had done on the cross, but when it comes to giving money, Jesus Christ is no longer our mediator but the church is? Nowhere in the Bible does it teach us that the church is the mediator for the finances of God. So how do we give money to God. We give money to God by helping those that are less fortunate than we.

So how about giving to the church? 1 Timothy 5:17,18 teaches the following.  "Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.” 1ti 5:18 "For the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward."   When you honor someone, you do not necessarily give that person money but respect, What it is saying here is we should help the church meet the needs of the church, the church should also have some kind of outreach to help those less fortunate than us. Let’s go to 1 Corinthians 9:18 "What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel."  They have to be careful not to use the offering for their own personal gain or become wealthy off it.

Let us explore what Tithing really was used for. We would like to start with the law of tithes. Let’s go to Numbers 18:23,24 "But the Levites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance. But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance."  You see here that the Levites were the mediators for the tribe of Israel, they had no inheritance but the tithing from the Israelites. I am going to explain to you that the Levites, since the law of tithe was for them. The Levites were one of the 13 tribes of Israel that came down from the 12 sons of Jacob.  Aaron and his sons were Levites. So the Levites were specific people and this is a specific time when the Lord spoke to the children of Israel. Even in these days the Levites are the descendents of Aaron, but they do not do the service of the tabernacle anymore, because there is no temple worship anymore in Israel

Let us go to Leviticus 26:30-32 "And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD. And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof. And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD."  You see here that they had to tithe of the land and the fruit of the trees, If they wanted to tithe with money, they were penalized and had to pay the 20 percent in money and not the 10 percent because it was added a penalty. A penalty was added to those that were not following the law of tithe as God commanded; one had to tithe with food, wine, crops, what every they worked with their hands. Then it says that every animal that pass under the rod, the tenth was unto the Lord, if there were only 19, they still only gave one. So every ten animals that were going to be presented to the Lord by counting by ten with the rod held by the Levite the priest, the tenth sheep or bull was offered in sacrifice to the Lord. Let’s go to Deuteronomy 26:12 "When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled; That they could eat within the perimeters of the tabernacle." You see here that the Jews were tithing only the third year, which was every three years, and not every Sabbath or every Sunday. Even If they tithe with the sacrifice of animals every year, the animals would die off for not giving the time to animals to mate and reproduce. That is why the Lord commanded to tithe every 3 years to give the chance to the animals to multiply. You see here that the tithing is for the Levites, the widows, the stranger, the fatherless (orphans). So the Levites had to build storage houses to hold all the provisions. Now Let us go to Malachi 3:5 "And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts."  You can see here that the Lord is scolding the Israelites from their wicked ways, because they were not giving to the widows, the orphans and the poor. Now Let us go to Malachi 3:8-10 "Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."   Remember that the tithing was not just for the Levites, but it was for the widow, the poor and the orphans. When the Israelites did not tithe, there was no food for the widow, the stranger, the orphan. So the Israelites were robbing God by not taking care of those less fortunate than them. When it says bring meat into my store house that is exactly what it means.  In Matthew when Jesus was saying let us sit at meat, it meant, food, supper. The Levites had a store house to hold all the provisions from the tithing from the twelve tribes. When the Israelites did not tithe, there were no provisions in the storehouse for anyone. Storehouse does not mean church; they did not have buildings back then, but tents. Anyhow the real meaning of the storehouse is taken from Joseph at the time of the famine, and means storage to collect all the food.   Let us go to Nehemiah 13:10 "And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled everyone to his field."   You can see here that the Israelites did not tithe and the Levites had to leave to the fields so they could find some food. Matthew 25:32-36 "And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me."   You can see here that Jesus is saying the same thing that we need to take care of those less fortunate than us.

Acts chapters 3-5 is a good example, they distribute the money according to everyones needs. There are people in need of help that belong to your church, where you go, and how do we help them, from the church offerings, as taught in Acts. We cannot forget those in need. II Corinthians 8-12-14 where Paul teaches to the churches: “ For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. 2co 8:13 For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: 2co 8:14 But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: 2co 8:15 As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack. Let’s go to Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law. What it is saying here is when you do not know, the Lord is not holding you responsible but once you have learned the mystery which in this case is Paul’s Gospel, Then we own it and the Lord will hold us responsible.

Now we want to compare scripture with scripture. Let us go to Hebrews 7-5,.  “ And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according with the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham. The scripture says here Levites and not Gentiles, so the Gentiles have never had this commandment of receiving tithes, because was never given to them by the Lord. How is that in our days we passed this old law of tithes into our times and we pass it to the Gentiles which are us, is something that make us think how badly, in a ignorant way, the word of God is misunderstood and misused by the church of our ages. And I’m talking about church in general as assembly of the believers.  You can do your search in the N.T. on your own, that it’s ok for the Levites to take tithes from the people because the word of the Lord makes a distinction between the Levites under the Old Covenant and us under the New Covenant.  In our days churches do not have animals sacrifice and do not have an altar, except catholic churches, where you can see that the Catholics are still trying to imitate the Levites priests, in the way they dress up, wearing the robe that Aaron and the generation of the priests used to wear in order to do the service of the tent, where the altar and the tabernacle were guarded. There is no longer justification or excuses for the work of the altar, where the Levites were busy attending to it, which was the washing of the sins of the people of Israel and God at that time appointed the Levites as mediators for the sins of the house of Israel. We drop down to verse Hebrews 7: 8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he receiveth them, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth. And that is Jesus. Now verse 8 is saying that all those that were priests, as all men, were subjected to die as any other men, so they were not higher than the rest of the people, but Christ, the new mediator, came to put an end to the Levite priesthood, because Christ lives forever and there is no need any more to continue the altar’s sacrifice. With the regular priests we would be in need of repetition of the same things over and over for the cleansing of our sins, a generation of priests pass away and another one arise and so forth and so on till these days, but Jesus died on the Cross, so the cleansing of sins were done away for good by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He came to offer us the plan of Salavation and eternal life.

How to Study Part 4

by Roy Burger on 06/23/15

How to Study the Bible Part 4 Here I am comparing Scriptures found in Jeremiah of Old Testament with Scriptures found in Hebrew in New Testament.
Jeremiah 31: 31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: 33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Hebrews 8: 7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second. 8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people: 11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. 13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no * * prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 1 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. This is basically saying that we should read the scriptures before and after to get the full context of what is being said. This way we don't take scripture out of context. An example in Orange is the New black. A tv series about inmates. One of the inmates witness the gospel of Jesus Christ to another inmate. This inmate chose not to accept Christ. She used Luke 19: 11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. 12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return. 13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come. 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. 15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading. 16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds. 17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities. 18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds. 19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities. 20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin: 21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow. 22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow: 23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury? 24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds. 25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.) 26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him. 27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me. This inmate 1 used this to justify that she could kill this other inmate 2 because she did not want Jesus as her King and ruler.
We cannot take any scripture for our own private interpretation but use scriptures before and after as well as knowing the scriptures such as we know that of the commandments is "thou shalt not kill" even though it is not mention before or after the script in Luke we know we cannot go about killing people if they don't accept Christ. If we test the properity gospel, 1 Timothy 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. and we know that one saved always saved as one person used Ephesian 1: 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Even though he taken sealed as once save always saved, we have to take what is before and after and be careful of what the scripture doesn't say like "once saved always saved" if this was valid, one could compare scripture with scripture but there is no basis unless one takes it as their own private interpretation.
I John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need * not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. What this is saying is that when we are listening to our pastor or someone else's teaching, we are not to take what they teach is gospel and we are to read the scriptures to see if what is being taught is true.
1 John 4: 1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
